LED displays for retail.

Retail screens compete with shopfront glass and daylight. The failure mode is a screen that looks brilliant at night and washes out at 2pm, so brightness and the ability to dim on a schedule matter more than raw pixel count.

Retail LED displays, common questions

What pixel pitch is right for retail?
P2.5-P4 indoor · P6-P10 storefront is typical for this environment. Auto-brightness is worth specifying: it stops the screen glaring at night and dying at midday. Pitch is driven by the closest viewer, so confirm your minimum viewing distance before ordering.
How bright does a retail screen need to be?
800-1,200 nits indoor · 5,000+ outdoor is the usual range here. Brightness is set by ambient light: an indoor screen specified at outdoor brightness is uncomfortable to sit near and wastes power.
